BjTA developed Jayco's new mascot, J. Jay. This opens
up a whole new arena for advertising and promotion for them. The
whimsical bird, decked out in appropriate camping attire, effectively
conveys the fun and enjoyment that can be achieved by RVing and
owning a Jayco product.
Market research has revealed that top-of-mind awareness
can be created by an icon or mascot with consumers. Once instilled
in the buying public's mind, J. Jay will generate instant recognition
for Jayco's product without bullet points or ad copy.
J. Jay (like any mascot) can be integrated into the
full spectrum of promotional tools - from point of purchase materials
to personal appearances at sales events. Given his developing popularity,
J. Jay provides the epitome of merchandising opportunities, which
further embellishes his (and Jayco's) recognition. Jayco is developing
a full line of J. Jay merchandising products for showroom, trade
show and consumer purchase. Promotional packages to Jayco dealers
include full size cutouts, banners, mobiles, activity books, J.
Jay plush toys and hats.
